Be Here. Be Well.

Practice being present more. Whether it is the act of putting your phone down or being mindful of the food you are consuming, there is power in being present and being here. Things like overthinking, mindless scrolling, and living life on autopilot contribute to being stuck or feeling trapped in your mind. This way of living may impact your mental health, physical health, emotional health, etc. When we feel "out of tune" with our bodies, we may get depressed, anxious, susceptible to health problems, or even have trouble in our relationships with people.

The main takeaway is power in presence, which comes with mindfulness and intention. When we are aware: we take in our surroundings, interactions with others, and ourselves. With time and effort, you have the potential to gain self-awareness.

Ways to be present and well:

  • Put your phone down. Be present in the conversation, interaction, or the surroundings.

  • Admire the stillness, the quiet of your home, or nature.

  • Practice gratitude, in your head or out loud.

  • Affirmations.

  • Prayer.

  • Meditation.

  • Sound healing through music or sound bowls.

  • Writing.

  • Breathing in and out.

  • Make yourself a nourishing meal.

  • Appreciate the wholesome taste of nutritious foods and acknowledge the benefits they bring to your body. Check in with yourself on how you feel after.
